Khairul Alam, Dhaka: Awami League President and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has said, “Awami League gives, knows how to give, and stands by the common people.
Those who constantly threaten to remove Awami League from power, vilify it, refuse to allow elections, commit murders, and engage in arson, but now they don’t even invite anyone to iftar, they themselves indulge in iftar parties.
They criticize Awami League while indulging in iftar parties. When Awami League will be removed, that’s what we’ll see.”
Speaking at an event organized by the Awami League on Monday afternoon on the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children’s Day 2024, she further stated, “We will not hold iftar parties; we will share this food among the common people.”
She added, “You eat and put a microphone on and criticize the Awami League government. What is the crime of the Awami League? Is it a crime that this country gained independence? Is that the crime of the Awami League?”
