‘Iran Will No Longer Exist’: Trump Issues Obliteration Threat Following Fresh US Airstrikes

International Desk — US President Donald Trump has issued a chilling warning to Tehran, declaring that the Islamic Republic of Iran “will no longer exist” if the United States is forced into full-scale warfare.

This dramatic escalation follows a series of fresh American airstrikes targeting critical Iranian military assets, with Washington accusing Tehran of repeatedly violating an active ceasefire agreement.

The high-stakes development unfolded on Saturday after the US military launched its second wave of targeted strikes against Iranian infrastructure.

According to the Pentagon, the operations were conducted in direct response to continuous Iranian provocations and attacks on commercial shipping vessels in the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz.

Taking to his social media platform, Truth Social, President Trump confirmed the military action and underscored his administration’s hardening stance.

“Violating the Ceasefire Agreement again, US Aircraft just struck Iranian Missile & Drone Storage sites, and Coastal Radar facilities,” Trump wrote.

In a subsequent, highly aggressive statement, the US President warned of absolute military intervention if diplomatic restraints fail.

“A time may come when we can no longer remain restrained, and we will be forced to militarily complete what we successfully started. If that happens, the Islamic Republic of Iran will no longer exist!” Trump added.

Infrastructure Crippled in the Strait of Hormuz

Providing operational details, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that US Navy and Air Force assets successfully struck ten distinct Iranian military installations near the Strait of Hormuz. The targeted locations primarily included drone and missile stockpiles along with coastal defense radar arrays.

CENTCOM also released a 35-second aerial video on social media platform X, showing blurry but definitive footage of massive explosions rocking multiple target sites.

The military command emphasized that the strikes were heavily necessitated by Iran’s ongoing aggression against international maritime commerce. Notably, CENTCOM cited a serious incident on Friday where Iran allegedly attacked a Panama-flagged commercial tanker carrying approximately two million barrels of crude oil.

A Fragile Peace Crumbles

The current hostility marks a severe setback to the recent diplomatic breakthroughs in the region. The broader conflict initially erupted on February 28 following a joint military campaign by the United States and Israel against Iran.

However, in an effort to curb the violence, the Presidents of the United States and Iran had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) just two weeks prior.

Furthermore, bilateral peace talks aimed at establishing a permanent ceasefire had already commenced in Switzerland under neutral mediation.

Despite these active diplomatic channels, both Washington and Tehran have repeatedly traded bitter accusations, alleging that the opposing side has routinely breached the core tenets of the signed MoU.

With the latest round of US airstrikes and President Trump’s explicit threat of total annihilation, the prospects of the Swiss-mediated peace talks hang by a thread.

As tensions reach a boiling point in the Strait of Hormuz, international observers fear that the fragile ceasefire has effectively collapsed, potentially plunging the Middle East into a much wider, uncontrolled regional war.
