Health Desk; Dhaka- The measles outbreak continues to take a toll as five more children died from the disease and related symptoms across the country in the 24 hours leading up to 8:00 AM Thursday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), one death was confirmed as measles, while four others exhibited measles-like symptoms.

Total Deaths since March 15: 39 confirmed measles deaths and 194 deaths with symptoms.

New Cases: 125 children tested positive for measles in the last 24 hours.

Hospitalizations: 847 children were admitted to hospitals recently out of 1,170 showing symptoms.

Geographic Spread: Three deaths occurred in the Dhaka division, while the other two deaths were reported in the Khulna and Chattogram divisions.
Currently, the DNCC Dedicated Covid Hospital in the capital is treating a significant number of infected children.
Since March 15, a total of 28,334 children have shown symptoms nationwide, with 4,059 confirmed cases of measles.
Health officials noted that while admissions remain high, 836 children were discharged from hospitals in the last 24 hours after recovery.
