Weather Report: A low pressure system has formed over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. As a result, there is a possibility of gale forces at the ports. Therefore, three local warning signs have been asked to be displayed at four ports of the country.
Marine warnings signed by meteorologists said that the low pressure over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the neighborhood is presently over the northwest Bay of Bengal and the adjoining West Bengal-Orissa coast.
Due to this, the difference in air pressure in the northern Bay of Bengal and the coastal areas of Bangladesh has become excessive.
Strong winds are very likely to prevail over the North Bay of Bengal & adjoining coastal areas and the ports of Bangladesh.
As a result, Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra ports have been asked to display local warning signal number three.
In addition, all fishing boats and trawlers deployed in the North Bay of Bengal have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice. However, there is no possibility of more rain due to low pressure, said meteorologist AKM Najmul Haque. He said that rain may increase from Monday-Tuesday.
