River ports in the affected regions have been advised to hoist precautionary signals.
The weather office issued these guidelines in a 6-hour forecast starting from 9:00 AM on Sunday.
According to the forecast, temporary gusty or squally winds blowing from the west/north-west at a speed of 45 to 60 km/h, accompanied by rain or thunder showers, may sweep over Rangpur, Pabna, Tangail, Mymensingh, Comilla, Noakhali, and Sylhet regions.
Consequently, the river ports in these specific areas have been directed to hoist Riverine Warning Signal No. 1.
